The Pieces of Light card set is my search to understand these powerful words contained in the light. I've studied and explored the meaning across a broad spectrum, which resulted in painting a series of pictures that carried my visual expression of the essence within them. Rabbi Art Green's many books have highlighted the energy and power of words for me. He awakened my spirit to continue searching for beauty, meaning, and light.
The cards are a starting point and a call to think and wonder.
I realized that we must start with ourselves, reflecting on the words and meanings, searching for authentic opportunities to be kind, and finding the goodness in our words and actions. This past year I took a deep dive into one particular word, Chesed. Pronounced, KHEH-sehd- חסד
Chesed represents the very core of life, the value that speaks universally to the goodness in the world, and the deep and multifaceted love woven into the fabric of humanity: Chesed-Loving kindness.
I have found the question and the answer of the Divine energy calling humanity to be a partner in creation, the all-encompassing call of the divine spark to be conscious of what we offer and speak into our world.
